Dr. Tony Evans is one of the country’s most respected leaders in evangelical circles. He is a senior pastor, best-selling author and frequent speaker at Bible conferences and seminars throughout the nation.

Dr. Evans has served as the senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship for over 40 years, witnessing its growth from ten people in 1976 to now over 10,000 congregants with 100 plus ministries.

Dr. Evans is founder and president of The Urban Alternative, a Christian bible teaching and resource ministry. His radio broadcast, The Alternative with Tony Evans, can be heard on over 1,400 radio outlets daily and in more than 130 countries.

The first African American to earn a doctorate of theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, he has been named one of the 12 Most Effective Preachers in the English-Speaking World by Baylor University. He also holds the honor of writing and publishing the first full-Bible commentary and study Bible by an African American. The study Bible and Commentary went on to sell more than 225,000 in the first year.

Dr. Evans has authored over 100 books, booklets and Bible studies including Kingdom ManOneness EmbracedThe Kingdom AgendaKingdom Disciples, and Victory in Spiritual Warfare. He holds the honor of writing and publishing the first full-Bible commentary and study Bible by an African American.

Dr. Evans served the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks as chaplain for over 30 years. He is also the former chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys.

Through his local church and national ministry, Dr. Evans has set in motion a Kingdom Agenda philosophy of ministry that teaches God’s comprehensive rule over every area of life as demonstrated through the individual, family, church and society.

Dr. Evans was married to Lois, his wife and ministry partner of over 50 years until Lois transitioned to glory in late 2019. They are the proud parents of 4, grandparents of 13 and great-grandparents of 4. In November 2023, Dr. Tony and Carla Evans were married.

Dr. Vonda Nunley serves as the Head of School for KCA.

Dr. Vonda Nunley brings a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to academic excellence and student success. Dr. Nunley’s expertise is unmatched with certifications as a Superintendent, Principal, and Counselor and a Ph.D. in Education from Texas A&M University specializing in curriculum and instruction.

Dr. Nunley holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and a Bachelor’s degree from Rice University. Her remarkable career includes building and leading Mansfield Lake Ridge High School from its inception to over 2500 students as an Associate Principal and Principal, and later, she served as the Chief Academic Officer and Principal of Grace Preparatory Academy.

Dr. Nunley is equipped with a profound understanding of students from all backgrounds, which stems from her invaluable experience as a Lead Counselor at Mansfield Timberview, Mansfield Legacy, James Bowie, and Klein Forest High School. Through her compassionate guidance and mentorship, she has connected with students on a personal level, fostering their holistic development and well-being.

Dr. Nunley also possesses a unique insight into the student-athlete, drawn from her role as an Athletic Director in the Dallas Independent School District for four years. Her firsthand experience in managing athletic programs and supporting student-athletes has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges and triumphs of balancing academics and sports. Moreover, her high-level achievements as an athlete, who participated in two Olympic trials as a former track and field star, showcase her unparalleled work ethic and unwavering determination to be the best while setting a powerful example for student-athletes under her guidance.

Her faith as a woman of God enriches the gift that God is bestowing upon KCA. We are beyond grateful and excited about the future of KCA and the positive impact Dr. Nunley’s leadership will undoubtedly bring to our school community.
